Why non-profit publishing?
Non-profit publishing is how Bloomsday is elevating the storytellers who have long gone unheard.

Tina Berger, Treasurer
Tina Berger is a writer, corporate wonk, media maker, mom, compassionate revolutionary, impact investor, and a beloved pain in the ass to those closest to her. She studied English Literature (BA) and Business (MBA) at the University of Houston and has lived in Houston for most of her life. For the majority of her career, she has provided specialized consulting services to the energy industry in IT and digital oilfield initiatives. She is devoted to growth and healing and committed to working with others to reimagine and reform our economic and financial systems such that they serve the global good and the needs of future generations. She has recently published her first book, Coming Around, Surprises and Surrender on the Path to Inspiration.
Carol Little, Advisory Board Liaison
Carol Little is a Public Speaker, Corporate Trainer, Executive Coach, food lover, and mother to Milo the cat. She moved to the Houston area from Los Angeles in 2010 and fell in love with the food, the art, and the people. Before starting her own corporate training company, she was VP & CFO of a brokerage firm, a model, a mediocre actress, and produced a short film called The Man in Striped Pajamas. Her love of books was gifted to her by her mother. Seeing how a writer can string certain words together and create a kind of music, lights her up like lights on a Christmas tree, and she’s excited to have the opportunity to usher other voices into the world.
Ann Al-Bahish, Secretary
Ann Al-Bahish has lived and worked in Houston for over 25 years. She firmly believes that reading and writing are fundamental, and that books can make people happy and healthy. Ann was an honors graduate of Trinity University and Harvard Law School, earning a BA and JD, respectively, and a PhD in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She practices law and is a partner at Haynes and Boone, LLP, where she assists clients with environmental solutions, including designing and implementing cleanup programs/agreements and representation in trials, arbitrations, and other negotiations. She is on the boards of the Houston Area Women’s Center, The Rose, and Doctors for Change (Founding Member), and a fellow of both the Houston and Texas Bar Foundations.
Chan D. Booth, Board Member
Chan D. Booth is an attorney, media producer, musician, golfer, and techno gadget enthusiast. He grew up reading books (including comic books in early days) and discovering the unlimited worlds, both real and imagined, that they had to offer. Absorbing information and learning about experiences was, and still is, a welcome spark to his brain. His practical side inspired him to pursue a career in law to champion and protect the business interests of his creative-minded friends and colleagues, and his creative side and lifelong love of music lead him to his work as a media producer, helping to bring artists’ visions to life. He thrives on the fusion of the artistic and business facets of creative content.
